Friday, July 19, 5:45-9pmThe biting political satire The Death of Stalin is an imagined behind-the-scenes account of the chaos in the Kremlin following the unexpected passing of Stalin in March of 1953. Featuring the great character actor Steve Buscemi as Nikita Khrushchev, this film has the same edgy humor and fawning staffer types as seen in the acclaimed TV series Veep. But instead of D.C., the action takes place in the paranoid atmosphere of the Soviet Union. Instructor Paul Marino will introduce the film, raise questions to ponder and host a post-viewing discussion. Sponsored by Chases on the Beach – Where It’s Always Sunny.
Fee: $10 at the door. Beer and wine available for purchase.
