The Northern Lakes Arts Association (NLAA) is thrilled to present Art in Print: A Year of Hands-On Printmaking, a workshop series led by NLAA’s 2024 Artist in Residence and Creative Spirit of the North Award Winner, Rachael Pace! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, these workshops will guide you through different printmaking techniques, allowing you to explore relief printing, fabric printing, nature-inspired prints, and holiday card making.
📍 Location: Vermilion Fine Arts Theater, Ely, MN

Stamp It! An Intro to Relief Printing

Print It, Wear It! Fabric Printing with Handmade Stamps

✂️ Turn fabric into a canvas—design and print your own wearable art! Bring your own fabric items to print on or use provided patch-sized fabric scraps.
Nature’s Imprint – Printing with Found Objects

🍃 Explore textures from nature and everyday objects to create stunning prints! Bring leaves, lace, or textured objects to experiment with creative printmaking techniques.
Press & Impress – Holiday Card Printing with an Etching Press

🎄 Carve, press, and print one-of-a-kind holiday cards! Learn how to use an etching press to create bold, high-quality prints.
