About this Event
Join Art Impact Project, one of TAC’s growing network of program ‘pARTners’ as they bring free community–centric art classes to TAC’s wide range of wellness courses available each month. Celebrating their tenth anniversary, Art Impact Project is a local 501c(3) with a mission of enhancing emotional wellness through creative expression. They partner with organizations such as schools, treatment facilities, libraries, and other community spaces throughout Lake County, to facilitate art programming with a focus on better mental health. Providing a supportive, small group setting, Art Impact Project facilitators guide participants step-by-step through the creative process so everyone can experience the benefits of creative exploration.
Art Impact Project facilitators lead designed projects, and using a variety of art materials, offer a bit of inspiration, a unique form of self-expression, and a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming space of creative exploration.
Scheduled for the last Tuesday of every month, these programs began in the wake of the Shooting Tragedy in Highland Park but have grown to a new dimension of their own. Older adolescents and adults are welcome and no previous experience in any art form is needed (or expected). These groups are intended as an overall wellness workshop rather than a focus on art techniques.
Join us to Create, Connect, Heal, and Support each other!
There is no charge for this workshop, but registration is required.
