Block 1: Renaissance Legends
Michelangelo & Raphael – Light, Form, and Grand Ideas
In this inspiring 6-week block, children explore the art of Renaissance masters Michelangelo and Raphael through creative, hands-on projects. From painting like Michelangelo under the "ceiling," (don't worry, there's no working at height involved!) to sculpting mini statues and experimenting with egg tempera, each week blends fascinating art history with imaginative making. Kids will learn about form, light, perspective, and composition, all while building their own gallery of Renaissance-inspired work.
