About this Event

🎨 Ready to elevate your art to gallery-worthy status? Join us for an immersive workshop designed to teach you how to use all of our traditional picture framing tools and techniques to create a ready-to-hang piece of art.

This Workshop will provide you with hands-on experience where you will learn how to miter cut picture frame stock to exact sizes, join the cut frames, cut a custom mat board opening with a backing board, and safely cut glass or plexiglass to size. We’ll even provide the craft paper and wire hanging hardware for a complete fine art product. Everyone will create their own 8” x 10” hand-crafted picture frame from our wide selection of vintage frame stock, suitable for a standard 4” x 6” photo print or similar sized original piece of artwork. We’ll guide you through each step of the process to ensure you're fully equipped to create your own custom framed art for years to come.

NOTE: Upon completion of this class, Maker Space Charlotte Members will be Certified to utilize our cutting-edge "Art Framing Corner" equipment for future projects!
