Art for Wellness: Collage and Stitched Leaves
Come join us for a relaxing afternoon of creativity at Carr House National Historic Site! In this art class, local artist Helga Strauss will explore the therapeutic benefits of art through collage and leaf-stitching techniques. No prior art experience is necessary, and all materials are included! Come learn new creative skills in this unique workshop!
Open to all ages and skill levels. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
About the instructor
Helga Strauss is an artist, educator, and therapeutic arts practitioner. She is also a tree lover and writes a monthly column called Glorious Trees in our Neighborhood for the James Bay Beacon. In her personal art practice, she creates art every day, following her joy and curiosity. As a teacher for over 30 years, she encourages her students to do the same.
