Purnakala School of Indian Art is delighted to bring in-person traditional Indian art workshops to the Seattle community! Join us for a series of workshops, each showcasing an iconic art form from India. In each workshop you will create a "masterpiece" to take home while learning tips and tricks specific to the art forms and mediums used. In the first module, from Sept 2025 to Jan 2026, we will be exploring Classical Painting Traditions of Southern India.

Workshop 2: Mysore Painting (October 2025)
Join me this October for Mysore Painting workshop-- a classical South Indian artform originating from Mysuru in Karnataka. Mysore paintings are renowned for their intricate relief work, use of authentic gold foil, and elegance.
In this immersive 3-day In-person workshop (8-hour total), you will:
- Learn the history, cultural ethos and technical nuances behind making an authentic Mysore painting
- Make and take home a beautiful 8x10 Mysore painting made with pure 22 karat gold foil.

Dates:
Day 1: Friday, October 17, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Day 2: Saturday, October 18, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Day 3: Sunday, October 19, 2:00 pm to 5:00pm
Venue:
Purnakala School of Indian Art. This workshop will be held in the artist's home studio which is 1-minute away from Bristol Park in Redmond Ridge East. Exact Address will be shared upon registration.
Fee: $250 (Includes all materials for in-class use. Students take home their art piece).
Early-bird $225 ( Register by October-5-2025)
Who can attend?
Adults of all skill levels are welcome. Come create in a friendly small group setting. No drawing or painting background required. Step-by-step instructions will be provided.
