Attention Colorado Artists- Colorado State University Pueblo students of Exhibiting Chicanx/Latinx Art course are curating an exhibition exploring the significance and presence of the Virgen de Guadalupe to the Chicana/o/x community in the Southwest. We are seeking submissions exploring the theme, Coatlaxupe: from Earth Mother to Chicana/o/x Icon. All artists must agree to drop-off and pick-up artwork from CSU Pueblo Fine Art Gallery. Shipping/delivery of artwork to and from the CSU Pueblo Fine Art Gallery is the responsibility of the artists. Artwork must be framed and ready to be installed.
EXHIBITION SCHEDULE
Exhibition Dates: December 11, 2025 - January 29, 2025
Delivery of Artwork: Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 pm
Reception with Artists: December 11, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm
Artwork Pickup: January 30, 2025 from 3:00- 6:00 pm
Art Eligibility: There is no entry fee. The artwork will be juried by a committee of students and faculty from the Exhibiting Chicanx/Latinx Art Course at CSU Pueblo. Artists must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Artists may submit up to two works of art. Complete the form and upload requested documents, including works samples. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Selected artists will be notified by November 6, 2025.
