Don't miss this unique exhibit and an introduction to the ancient form of Buddhist Art. Six years ago I traveled to the ancient Kingdom of Lo in Nepal on the border with Tibet. There, I met Tashi Gurung, a master thangka and mandala artist.
In this 3rd solo exhibit, I've collected the most comprehensive collection of Tibetan thangkas from Tashi. Path to Nirvana, Mandala with Eight Auspicious Symbols, Green Tara, Life of Buddha, Kalachakra Mandala and many others.
Please come to this closing reception to hear about my journey to the Kingdom of Lo, Thangka unique process, a short description of every Thangka presented and core Buddhist concepts expressed in each.
The reception is from 4 to 8, and I will walk through each one at 5 and 7pm
if you cannot make this time, please see this exhibit until end of January at Art House SF, 2324 Market St, San Francisco, Wed-Sat 11-7 and Sun 11-5.
