This Art Instructional Series is designed for students age 16 and up to explore the foundational elements of art through drawing. With hands-on activities that develop skills and understanding of line, perspective, shape, light, color, texture, space, mass, volume and composition. Each session builds on the previous. We'll cover creating subject matter using contour, negative space, subtractive drawing and depth. By referencing concept images or directly observing the subject, we'll work through different drawing techniques and develop compositions by understanding the relationships in the field of vision.
All skill levels are welcome, whether you're just starting out or have been drawing for years. Through this series you'll be able to take the principles from the techniques practiced and create a style all your own.
