ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Meigan Swanson has been a professional Art Therapist since 2012. As an avid dancer and long-time gymnast, movement has always played a vital role in her personal expression and professional work. Her goal is to help others become empowered through all forms of artistic expression and body awareness. Working mainly with young children who face significant emotional and behavioural challenges, she also facilitates art and movement workshops for individuals of all ages.

ABOUT ART THERAPY:
When we allow ourselves the permission to slow down, drop in, and explore the full-range of non-verbal expression, we open the doors to deeper levels of self understanding. Through movement, art, and play, we have the chance to explore the unknown, move beyond our comfort zones, release inner judgments, and heal through conscious awareness of sensation.

I'd like to acknowledge that this event takes place on the unceded Traditional Coast Salish Lands including the Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw), Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ) and Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) Nations.
