About this Event
Welcome to Art Club! Running weekly during term time, these free sessions are for children aged 5-11 to attend with their families. Siblings are welcome. We welcome anybody who feels they need a bit of extra support.
Please note, this block of Art Club will be a little bit different, as we have a few different artists delivering the sessions. Please see the list of dates blow to see which artist is delivering on each date.
In Bethan's session, she will be sharing her ideas and inspiration behind her exhibition 'The Pollinators', using all of the senses to explore ideas around pollination and the tiny creatures that work hard to make plants and food grow.
In Lucy's session, we will be exploring The Pollinators exhibition through visual art with a selection of exciting materials!
In Natasha's sessions, artist and animator Natasha will be exploring visual storytelling and illustration using different drawing, collage and printing techniques, with the opportunity to have made your own print(s), art zine or mini comic by the end of the block. Don't know how to draw, or where to start? No problem! Using a variety of materials, textures, pre-carved stamps and Natasha's own illustrations as bases, you can start building a piece straight away. Come along to explore your own creative skills and stories!
All materials will be provided and the artist will always ask how to adapt the activity to best suit you or your child. Everyone is welcome to try things out at their own pace and will be supported in giving things a go. We have handwashing facilities available and participants are welcome to use tools rather than their hands for the air drying clay activities if they prefer.
These sessions will take place, 4.30pm - 6pm, on the following dates:

The Point is an accessible building with a Changing Place (including hoist) and quiet spaces for anyone who needs a breather. If it would be useful to know more about the session before attending, please email Sophie at [email protected]
These sessions are free to attend, but places are limited so booking is essential. Please ensure that you book an adult ticket for any accompanying adults. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Due to the popularity of the sessions, we are unable to hold a space for you if you haven't attended for two weeks and haven't been in touch with us.
