About this Event
This class will be a friendly, relaxed and welcoming class for students of all abilities.
Based in the newly refurbished workshop space at Carey's the classes will provide an opportunity for young people aged 12-16, to engage in their own artistic practice, with the guidance and support of local artist educator - Jemma Grundon from At Play Atelier.
The class is kept intentionally small - up to six students, to allow for bespoke and tailored teaching suited to the students requirements and interests.
The first four sessions will be centred around playful art-making and mixed-media processes, such as mono-printing and collage. The teaching can then subsequently become more tailored, as each student explores their own creative and independently led project - akin to a GCSE Level investigation.
The class structure will allow for skills, techniques and processes to be learned, artists to be studied and outcomes to be create - with guidance and support given at every stage.
Refreshments and facilities will be available. All basic art materials will also be provided for these classes.
