Join this fun 2 hour art workshop, to learn and create painting with a unique pointillism style to layer dots of acrylic colors on canvas!
Paint with Dots on Canvas: Painting with dots is fun. Your project during the workshop is to create this nature scene with colored dots using a paint brush. Your art instructor, Jim, will begin with a brief show and tell a short explanation of the materials, process, and how he chooses and mix colors. You will have a chance to ask questions. Jim will provide step-by-step instructions through the painting process, guiding you with mixing colors and creating the painting.
Who is this for: For ages of 16+, Suitable for all levels; No experience needed.
Art supplies: all supplies are included and will be provided to each guest, including acrylic paint set out on a palette, 8”x10” canvas board, paint brushes, plastic palate knives, containers for water, paper towels.

About the artist: Jim Pescott, a talented pointillism artist and experienced art teacher from Calgary AB, has, over the years, exhibited various paintings in Florence, Italy, New York City and Paris. In 2021, Jim received a Silver Medal for his artwork from the Academy Arts-Sciences-Letters in Paris. Painting with dots is fun and has been his passion for over 25 years. Dots allow him to explore how everything in nature is connected. Jim's favourite subjects involve treescapes he enjoys during a walk in the woods. He also enjoys painting portraits of people and pets. Painting for Jim always involves relaxing meditations as he explores sources of light, joy and harmony in nature.
