We will create multiple images and using mixed media make artwork that is fast + furious, colourful + expressive, with a featured collection of diverse wonderful animals and amazing birds like badger, panda, sloth and wild cats or owl, peacock, swallow, shorebirds, ocean birds + more.
Each day is filled with one main + one mini project!
DAY 1: Adventure Awaits: Sketch Book Journal
The adventure begins! Like all of our fabulous Summer Art Camps, we start the week with fabulous art in a beautifully bound sketchbook. This is true wanderlust through pages of richly painted, decorated, drawn and collaged of fun artwork. In our imaginations, we take a walk in nature recording the beauty and create exciting artwork with a colourful mingling of material + technique + much, much more.
This is a great start to the adventure on our first day - we will spend the day making and create images of intricate or impressionistic drawings, of mountains, trees + beautiful landscapes explored. Feathered and a collection of four legged friends will join us for a wonderful day of creativity that sets the scene for our first Summer art camp!
DAY 2: Clay play all day: Magical Forest : Walk in the Wilderness
We will get stuck in and re-create and make inspired pots that we will press + infuse with all we see on natures canvas, the forest floor + a mini wilderness ceramic wall piece + encapsulating the timelessness of nature craft and an impression of our nature finds! Using underglaze colours + careful mark making we will decorate in our very own personalised way. We’ll get our hands dirty as we create clay art from scratch! They'll be bursting with pride with these keepsakes + more, once fired and returned! **

DAY 3: Making Gloopey Sculpt + Paper Mache Magic
Animal Kingdom - Faux taxidermy Wall Art: A whole new perspective on portraits, we'll capture their attention and concentration by creating friendly trophy animal portraits in 3D to include with their collection of wall pieces.
We will spend the day getting Gloopy, gooey + slime over will paper relish + fun! Inspired by a Forest dwelling animals + We will create interesting sculptural Faux Taxidermy animal trophies + , we will create a fabulous brightly decorative 3D Animal sculpture!! Exciting artwork is always created when we mix + mingle + merge ideas + techniques!
DAY 4: Mini Canvas Art + Dreamy Mixed Media Canvas
Captivating mini canvas artwork showcasing the beauty of wild cats; tigers, leopards + more. We will create imaginative paintings on canvas inspired by international artist, Mina Pensa’s paintings! Renowned for heir striking depictions of animals, often found in tropical and otherworldly settings.
In this exciting and engaging process, we will be using acrylic paint to bring these animals to life on the canvas. The result will be a feature piece in your homes - that you will cherish forever in your home.
