Art as a VerbA 6-week winter journey into creative practice
Creativity isn't for artists.
It's for anyone building something in a world that doesn't come with instructions. Every entrepreneur is an artist. Every leader navigating uncertainty is improvising. Every time you design a strategy, hold a team through chaos, or shape your life without a roadmap — that's creative work.
We just don't call it that.
The Nordic winter can feel like everything has stopped. Dark mornings, dark evenings, the world gone quiet. But underground, something else is happening. Seeds don't wait for light. Their roots grow in the dark, finding their way by feel, shaping themselves around what they meet.
Creativity works the same way.
Art as a Verb is a 6-week winter journey for entrepreneurs, leaders, systems thinkers, and anyone who senses there's a more creative way to live — whether or not you've ever called yourself an artist. Blending Julia Cameron's Artist's Way with Rick Rubin's philosophy from The Creative Act, we'll work with the idea that creativity isn't a talent some people have. It's a way of paying attention. A way of doing life.
The practice
- Daily: Morning pages. 3 pages of stream-of-consciousness writing every morning. No editing, no judgment. This is how you clear the fog and hear yourself think.
- Weekly: Artist dates. A solo 2-hour outing to somewhere that delights you. A museum, a walk by the water, a bookshop, a café.
You're refilling the well.
- Together: Each Wednesday we gather at Lakefront for 2 hours of check-ins, discussion, and creative exercises. Then we walk down to the sauna by the lake and let it all integrate.
The arc
Week 1: Safety — building the foundation
Week 2: Power — reclaiming what you've given away
Week 3: Possibility — working with limiting beliefs
Week 4: Connection — jealousy as a map, finding your own path
Week 5: Compassion — gentleness with creative blocks
Week 6: Faith — trusting the process, integrating the work
What's included
- 1-on-1 coaching session before we begin (to set intentions)
- 6 weekly group sessions at Lakefront
- Sauna by the lake after each session
- 1-on-1 closing session (to integrate what emerged)
- WhatsApp group for daily check-ins and support
- A cohort of fellow travelers
- A creative oasis in the middle of winter
This is for you if:
- You're successful by external measures but something feels flat. - You used to feel creative and lost touch with it. You want structure, accountability, and a group to do this with. You're ready to pay attention to your life differently.
This is not:
- An art class. I won't teach you to paint.
- A quick fix.
- For people who want to watch, not participate.
By the time the light returns, you'll have grown new roots.
