Foundry students will display works in the event wing of the Gallery Museum, alongside peers from Miami University Regionals. Miami Hamilton’s Conservatory Lecture on Invasive Plants and Insects: Challenges and Solutions for Native Ecosystem

In this presentation, we will explore how invasive species can harm native plant and insect communities, plus, highlight local examples, including periwinkle, wintercreeper, Callery pear, and honeysuckle. Discuss potential strategies for identifying and managing these invasive species and suggest native alternatives for sustainable landscaping.

Hear from resident artist Kim Radochia on her newly opened exhibition, Botanical Fantastical. Radochia will discuss the ancient Chinese practice of ‘li’, her passion for botany, and her community meadow projects that inspire this exhibition’s sculptural wall work and colorful kinetic sculptures
