Preserving Cultural Treasures Through Expert Care
Preservation takes center stage at Villa Luginsland, where conservation efforts ensure the longevity of its artistic treasures. Led by conservation specialists from Malta and Poland, participants will gain insight into the meticulous techniques employed to safeguard the villa's artworks from deterioration and damage.As well as renovation of frescos in Wilanow Palace in Warsawa and Polychrome painting by Giusppi Calli inside the villa. A talk on the principles of art conservation will delve into how far interpretation can shift through a restoration process, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of conservation practice. The live workshop will offer insights on conservation materials and tools, allowing participants to better understand the skill and care required to preserve cultural heritage for future generations. The attendees will also have an opportunity to take part in a curatorial tour of the current site specific collective exhibition Space & Time, curated by a renowned Slovak set designer, Boris Kudlička.

About Educational Programme at LuginsLand of Art
The educational programme encompasses five discussion panels and workshops, each delving into various facets of art and its relationships, including architecture, archaeology, community, and artistic legacy. These panels feature distinguished artists, art historians, architects, and art professionals who bring their perspectives on historical, social, and anthropological issues to the fore. The programme aims to foster an environment for discussion and offers an opportunity to explore the villa's ongoing construction, restoration, and preservation efforts. Attendees will also gain insights into the conservation processes applied to polychrome paintings by Giuseppe Cali, terracotta sculptures featuring Alessandro Volta and Galileo Galilei, and the ornamental metalwork adorning the villa. As LuginsLand of Art unveils its new multicultural artistic platform, it invites the audience and community to experience a convergence of art and history through time and space.
