In the world of art, failure can seem like a career-ending event, but for some, it's the moment when a successful career truly begins.
Art and/of Failure explores how artists and art professionals turned epic failures into turning moments that shaped their path. From bankruptcy, scandal, rejection, and ridicule to worldwide fame, this talk highlights how failure became a vital force driving bold creativity, pushing boundaries, and, in some cases, rewriting the narrative of success.
We will discuss:
• How restoration gone wrong turned into an unexpected success, and an 80-year-old volunteer, who attempted to restore a mural at a local cathedral in Spain is now called "the new Goya."
