Dalton Jamieson lives and paints in San Luis Obispo, California. He has been painting, mostly in oil, for close to forty years. He paints directly from life and is currently focused on a large series of plein-air paintings of views in his backyard. He also paints realistic still lifes.
Jamieson grew up in Claremont, California. In the mid-1980s he attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History. He also studied painting and drawing while attending UCSC. His paintings have been shown in galleries in California and in New York City.
