Prepare for an enchanting evening at The Newark Museum of Art with our special Halloween edition of Art After Dark! In collaboration with Aurway Repertory Theatre, we’re transforming the Museum into a mystical, witchy world for a night of spellbinding experiences. Â
Immerse yourself in the original musical "Wanga" by Lawrence Dandridge, and enjoy a unique blend of theatre, art, and interactive activities. The evening features spooky, spellbinding craft activities, enchanting performances, and a magical scavenger hunt to name the covens’ next Supreme. Â
Join us for this interactive theatrical experience that promises to be a night of magic and mystery you won’t want to miss! Â
Aurway is a network of emerging and professional artists dedicated to the pursuit, creation, and presentation of art, that highlights the experiences of Black and brown people.Â
Drinks and food will be available for purchase.Â
Traveling to the Museum
We anticipate a large turnout for this event. We encourage you to take public transportation to the Museum. You will find more information below:
Public Transportation
You can easily get to the Museum using the Newark Light Rail, getting off at the Harriet Tubman Square stop or the Washington Street stop. You can also arrive via NJ Transit heavy rail, as we are three blocks from Broad Street Station.
Driving
The Museum has a parking lot with limited space. It is $10 to park. Downtown Newark has ample on-street parking. We also recommend going to parking.com and searching using the Museum's Address, 49 Washington Street, Newark, NJ to find available parking.
Uber/Lyft
The Museum is located at 49 Washington Street. You will enter through our main entrance which faces Washington Street.
