Break through printer size limitations for encaustic image transfers in this one-day workshop that introduces how to seamlessly tile your transfers together across multiple sheets. Learn how to best prepare your encaustic surfaces for a successful transfer, and image alteration options. Start with preparing your 12″ x12″ panels with encaustic medium, paints, and any optional collage materials. Sarah works with each student to pick the image they wish to transfer and discuss how best to break it down for printing. Demonstrations on transfer methods and hand coloring are given, as well as fusing methods when working with delicate details in the transferred images. Basic working knowledge of encaustic is required for this workshop.Materials fee covers encaustic medium/paints, other shared materials, and printing.
