The Ottawa County Arts and Humanities Council is excited to announce the Art 4 Fun Youth Summer Program, taking place from July 8-12th, 2024. This engaging and educational event is designed for kids aged 8-12 years old, providing them with a fantastic opportunity to explore their creativity and artistic talents. Each day, participants will gather at the Miami Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a series of fun, hands-on activities that will ignite their imagination and deepen their appreciation for the arts.Under the guidance of Miss Alyssa Convirs-Slater, children will dive into a variety of artistic techniques and projects. The program will cover topics such as color mixing, shading, and blending, allowing young artists to experiment and learn in a supportive environment. Activities will include painting, where kids can express themselves on canvas, and chalk art, which will enable them to create vibrant masterpieces. These activities are designed to be both educational and enjoyable, helping children build confidence in their artistic abilities while having a great time. Plus, each child will receive a drawing kit to take home with them at the end of the week!
Not only will participants gain valuable art skills, but they will also make new friends and create lasting memories. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to inspire the young artists in your life—sign up today! The cost for participation is $20 per child. If you have any concerns about affording this fee, please reach out to us to discuss the possibility of a tuition waiver. Your child's inclusion and participation are important to us, and we are here to help.
