Art 100: Foundations in Fine ArtAugust–May | Weekly Class
Art 100 is the perfect introduction to classical art training for young artists. In this foundational two-semester series, students will explore the core elements of drawing, watercolor painting, and clay hand-building. Emphasizing observational skills, hand-eye coordination, experimentation, and confidence in creative expression, students will learn fundamental artistic techniques. This course lays the groundwork for future growth and is a prerequisite for Art 200.
*There is no class the following weeks for breaks: Nov 24-28, Dec 22-Jan 2, Mar 16-20. One hour of open studio is available during break weeks for students to work on their projects or practice.
*A Work in Progress (WIP) hour is an optional, open studio time offered for students who need extra time to complete their class projects.
