About this Event
The Gamble House is pleased to participate in Walktober Pasadena, the 8th Annual Celebration of Walking in Pasadena!
Join us for a guided walk around the historic Arroyo Terrace neighborhood, a National Register historic district that is home to 9 Greene & Greene houses as well as the works of other noted architects such as Myron Hunt, Elmer Grey, Edwin Bergstrom, and more. The walk will be led by a Gamble House docent who will give information on the residences, including those of Myron Hunt and of Charles Greene, as well as a historic overview of the neighborhood.
- Approximately 1-hour walk begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Gamble House Bookstore.
- The walk will be a .7-mile loop of paved but at times uneven terrain.
- Please bring water, sunscreen, appropriate walking shoes and a hat.
Please register in advance to help us anticipate the number of attendees.
- We encourage walking, biking or taking transit to all Walktober events. Check the Pasadena Transit and Metro websites for transit options. Google maps walking and biking directions can also be helpful.
- City installed bike racks are available at or near the start location.
- Street parking is available at or near the start location. Check the parking signs for restrictions or pay options.
- Paid parking is not available in the area.
