Thank you so much for wanting to volunteer during our ARMY Day of Service!
Please be sure to read all the information below carefully in regards to UNITED AGAINST POVERTY!
United Against Poverty - 9a-12p - Host: Man
Thank you for teaming UP to end poverty for good! TeamUP 360 captures our daily volunteer needs, most of which take place in our Member Share Grocery Program (MSGP). Volunteers assist in any of the following areas:
- Produce: stocking the produce coolers and creating beautiful displays for the fresh produce we receive daily.
- Freezers: cleaning, organizing, and stocking our display freezers.
- Stocking Shelves: cleaning, organizing, and making sure our aisles are full and appealing to our members.
- Warehouse: Sorting product coming in from our Distribution Center, and breaking down boxes using our cardboard bailer.
- Member Marketplace: processing incoming clothing donations and organizing aisles of household items, school/art supplies, and other goodies.
- Campus Clean-up: Help us keep our campus beautiful! Volunteers help with various sanitation duties, including parking lot pick-up, gathering carts, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down services.
Please meet at location at 8:40 so we can distribute masks, complimentary water bottles, and collect waivers.
COVID-19 Rules: We require all volunteers to wear masks and maintain social distancing while on site.
What to wear: No open toed shoes, spaghetti straps or tank tops, leggings, or inappropriate/offensive clothing. If possible, wear a purple shirt so we can match!
What to bring: Bring yourself and the attached form filled out in person. All volunteers must complete, sign, and bring a liability waiver on date of service. Form located at purpleyouorl.com
Age requirement: UP Orlando loves to see youth volunteers! We welcome children as young as 10 years old with a chaperone. Those between the ages of 10-17 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire shift. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 participating in this opportunity will need a parent or guardian signature on the waiver form.
Where to go: United Against Poverty is located at 150 W Michigan St, Orlando, FL 32806. Carpooling is highly encouraged amongst groups.
Please note that spots are limited, please only sign up once you know you will for sure be able to go. Please let us know if you can no longer make it at least a week in advance! Only those who show up to volunteer will receive the complimentary water bottle. There will be no shipping post event.

- Each digital raffle add on is an entry - each entry is $2 - and there is no cap on the amount of times you can enter. All proceeds will go to support the American Cancer Society. Grand prize winner will be chosen July 10. Winner will receive an ARMY bomb, Butter poster set, and Yet to Come CD!
