The Team here at Warhammer Mt Gravatt Championship Store invite you to join us on Saturday 12 October for the Armies on Parade 2024 In-Store Showcase Day.Armies on Parade is as much about sharing the cool hobby projects you’ve been working on as it is about winning awards – we just love seeing armies fully painted up and ready for battle.
There are several categories that you can enter on Showcase Day. This gives each of you more chances show us your Warhammer panache
This Year’s Categories are:
Individual:-
Entrants to the Individual category are welcome to build, paint, and submit any army from any Games Workshop game system on a blank battle board or table. The focus should be squarely on the miniatures – no terrain is required – so your entry could be anything from a Warcry warband or K*ll team, to a perfectly balanced 2000 point army.
Team:-
The requirements for Team entries are the same as the Individual category, but for groups who want to work together to put on a show-stopping entry. It could be two friends painting a combined force, a family working together, a whole team painting a unit each, or maybe a big community, each contributing a single miniature!
Youngbloods:-
The Youngbloods category is exclusively for individual Warhammer hobbyists aged between 13 and 15 who will require the consent of a parent or guardian to enter. Teams of Youngbloods can also enter the Team category as long as they have someone over 16 as part of their group – so, for instance, your teacher can enter on behalf of a school Warhammer club.
Display Board:-
The Display Board category is for those who want to test their terrain-making and diorama skills. We want to see expansive battlefields, small but hugely detailed scenes, and everything in between! You are welcome to enter this category in addition to the Individual or Team categories.
Best of Skaventide:-
In honour of the newly revealed Warhammer Age of Sigmar launch box, we’re introducing a special Skaventide category for 2024. We want to see what you can do with the miniatures inside this incredible box, and as long as your entry is made from only the box’s contents, you have free rein to let your imagination run wild!
Armies on Parade is voted on by the all who visit the store, so make sure to invite friends and family to get involved. We will be celebrating not only the hobbyist who’s entry receives the most votes, but also the community’s favourite Newcomer (someone who has never entered Armies on Parade before). The Team will also award a “Manager’s Choice” to our favourite entry!
