Get your Tennessee Armed Guard Registration (license) with this 3 day class. Your first day is the General Guard training, learning the duties and responsibilities of a Security Guard, the laws pertaining to them, the liabilities associated with being a Guard, report writing and more. After successfully completing the first day of training, you will go to day 2, which covers Armed Guard responsibilities, handgun safety and more. Day 3 is the day you learn to properly function your weapon: cleaning, field stripping, clearing malfunctions, etc. This is also the day we go to the range and put to the test all you learned in the class. The necessary equipment for this class is as follows:1. You will need the handgun you will be carrying on duty. State law prohibits you from using a borrowed or rented gun. Also, we do not accept certain handguns such as Highpoint, Raven, etc.
2. A level one holster.
3. A minimum of two (preferably 3) magazines for your handgun
4. Magazine holder that matches your magazines
5. If you have a duty belt, you will need this.
6. 50 rounds of range ammo.
7. Before you can work, you will need to get duty ammo.
If you show up to class without these items, we cannot complete your training. Our goal is to provide the best trained Security Officers in the area.
