We are armed by Christ for victory in spiritual warfare! Join us as we continue our study of this powerful and encouraging letter.
The theme of Ephesians:
Jesus in the center of God's spiritual family and Jesus in the center of human families equips them to participate in His victory of light over darkness and good over evil in the spiritual war for the cosmos.
In chapter one, Paul showed how the blessings of God in Christ were creating unity within God's spiritual family between heaven and earth
In chapter two, we saw how Jesus is also creating unity between every part of humanity, no matter how different or divided they are.
In chapter three, we saw not only has God revealed his wisdom to his people by his Spirit through his apostles, but he is revealing his wisdom to both the natural and spiritual realms by how his people live their lives in Christ's unsearchable riches and love.
In chapter four, we saw how Jesus' gifts to us and the church allow each member of His body to be individually equipped to grow to spiritual maturity and full activation in His service,
In chapter five, Paul gave additional descriptions of what spiritual maturity looks like and then call us to create human families with Christ at the center, reflecting not only God's will for the home, but also reflecting the beautiful relationship between Jesus and the church.
In our final session of this series, we will complete the picture of the human family centered on Christ, and then see how Jesus us arms us for victory in His spiritual war for good over evil, light over darkness, life over death, and wisdom over folly.
Hope to see you there!
