Enjoy theme days during each cohort...
This summer camp is based on building activity, team building, therapeutic programming, and supportive social engagement. Each day, our child and youth counsellors and volunteers will lead a new activity on the theme of “exploring diversity through Africentricity” during the day of each week.
Camp operates Monday through Friday with each Friday including experiential trips in each cohort.
Camp Details
Our interactive camp features guest speakers, therapeutic activities focusing on team building, social skills, and emotional regulation, and learning opportunities!
Guest facilitators from the community may share about their culture, including topics such as music, dance and more!
Special outings and experience days planned with our team.
Additionally, youth mentors may support younger children in their camp experiences with hopes to support them in gaining confidence in leadership skills.
Parents may be responsible to bring children and youth to the event space at pick up and drop off time.

Safe and supportive...
Our staff and volunteers are child and youth workers in training (CYC), and university graduates specializing in social services. They are trained in CPR, and First Aid. Our ratio is 5:1 per child, and additional 1:1 staffing support is available.
Minimal Cost...
Through our team at Ifarada, and the generosity of our funders, partners and community members we are funding our third annual in-person summer camp! There is a minimal cost to register and attend our camps this year, 2024.
Additional Services at Ifarada...
To support our learners, we have tutors available to engage youth who need extra support, and free children and youth counselling over the summer.
We also are offering free children and youth counselling throughout the summer.
