Join the San Miguel Sister City Committee and ASCA volunteers this coming Saturday, November 1st at 12:00PM to enjoy a special cultural performance by "Grupo de Cielos de Púrpura y Oro" showcasing the rich traditions of Salvadoran folklore dance and the graceful artistry of the "Cachiporras" — a beloved symbol of national pride and cultural expression.Delicious "pupusas" and "pastelitos" will be available for sale. Bring your family, friends, and appetite for culture and community!
Between 10:00AM to 2:00PM, this annual Community Resource Event will feature participating organizations from Arlington County offices, nonprofit organizations, and community businesses who will be on hand to share information, answer questions, and offer a variety of resources, including:
Arlington County Human Services; Arlington County Parks and Recreation; Amigos Express; Casa Mariflor; Cielos de Púrpura y Oro Dance Group; Emmanuel Presbyterian Church/Arlington Bridge Builders; Hilton Rodriguez Compass Realty; Independent Life Insurance Agent; Latinas Leading Tomorrow; Latino Group Solutions; Nueva Vida; and the Peruvian Lawyers Association of Washington DC (PLAWASH).
