Canadian powerhouse Atroxx is at the forefront of a new generation of techno artists enriching the genre with fresh energy and ideas. Equipped with deep musical knowledge, an obsessive approach to production and an innately progressive mindset he has earned himself a formidable reputation as a producer. With releases on an array of respected underground labels, including his own Starskream, Atroxx is respected and admired across the techno world, courting favour with both his peers and more established heads. A drummer since his teens, he has a distinct approach to drum programming, with acute awareness of the power of beats and their critical role in techno music. As a DJ he is equally switched on, commanding the dance floor with powerful layered mixes, potent percussion and mesmerizing atmospherics. Atroxx’s central belief relates to the notion that everything is vibration; the air we breathe, the ground we walk on, it’s all vibration. With that as the foundation of our existence, he sees music as the universe’s way of communicating with us. Musicians are a conduit, the music they create relaying messages, stories, emotions, feelings transmitted by universal consciousness. His creative energy runs deep, constantly overflowing to produce new music and resulting in a catalogue of music that is vast, all encompassing and deeply human. Atroxx cuts through the ordinary to create a unique brand of heavy, driving techno that keeps feet hitting the floor and energy at an all-time high. Atroxx’s sound is forged out of influences like Slipknot, Mudvayne and Nine Inch Nails. As his aggressive, industrial-style bass-lines sweep over you, his vibrant melodies blend in to create a soundscape ripe with ear-pleasing grooves. A lifelong musician raised by a lifelong musician, percussion runs through Atroxx’s blood. In his young techno career, he’s drawn praise from some heavy-hitting artists, with consistent support from Slam, Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer, Carl Cox just to name a few. ALOKIN | EDMONTON
ALOKIN is a rising DJ with a unique sound that blends techno with hard trance influences. Based in Edmonton, he has quickly made a name for himself in the local music scene with his high-energy sets and non-stop gigs. ALOKIN's passion for music began at a young age when he started experimenting with different genres and instruments. A lifelong trance advocate, he eventually became enamoured with techno and its deep dark undertones. Over the years, he has honed his craft and developed his own distinct style, which is characterized by his dark melodies, and powerful basslines.
In recent years, ALOKIN has become known as a leading figure in the trance and techno scene in Alberta. He has organized and hosted countless events, bringing life back to the local music scene and giving local artists a platform to showcase their talent. His shows are always filled with enthusiastic fans who come to dance the night away to his unique genre blending and style. Notably, his music has gained recent support multiple times from Amelie Lens on her EXHALE RADIO radio show. His first release in 2024 hit top 6 on the Beatport Hype Peak-time Techno charts and his collaboration with Trance superstar Christina Novelli and fellow Edmontonian DJ EpicFail, "The Hardest Thing," peaked at top 2 on the Beatport Trance Main Charts. ALOKIN's dedication to his craft and his commitment to the local music scene have made him one of the most exciting and promising up-and-coming techno DJs in the industry. With his inspiring sound and infectious energy, he is sure to continue making waves in the music world for years to come.
