About this Event
Summit Mission Statement
To come together as partners to start a movement that builds long-lasting community resilience throughout the Inland Empire by addressing underlying obstacles.
Overview:
Join us at the Ark of Safety Community Resiliency Summit as we explore how to break down silos and build stronger connections across communities, organizations, and government to shape a resilient future. With a focus on vulnerability through the lenses of politics, policies, and racism, this summit will unlock the keys to resiliency through collaboration, advocacy, and civic engagement.
Engage with thought leaders addressing critical topics such as racism as a public health crisis, nonprofit advocacy for policy and systems change, and innovative mapping efforts to connect and strengthen CBOs and FBOs. The day will include powerful discussions, panels, and collaborative conversations on how to align efforts and create lasting change in 2025 and beyond.
Let’s work together to chart a future where everyone thrives. We look forward to your participation!
“Resilience is the capacity of any entity—an individual, a community, an organization, or a natural system—to prepare for disruption, to recover from shocks and stresses, and to adapt and grow from a disruptive experience. As you build resilience, therefore, you become more able to prevent or mitigate stresses and shocks you can identify and better able to respond to those you can’t predict or avoid. You also develop a greater capacity to bounce back from a crisis, learn from it, and achieve revitalization.” “In the twenty-first century, building resilience is one of our most urgent social and economic issues because we live in a world that is defined by disruptions.”
