We’re excited to introduce another world-class European quartet to our audience! The Aris Quartett was founded Germany in 2009 and consists of violinists Anna Katharina Wildermuth and Noémi Zipperling, violist Caspar Vinzens, and cellist Lukas Sieber. The ensemble’s success has been rapid and ongoing; having earned numerous first prizes at prestigious competitions, the Aris quickly achieved its international breakthrough on major worldwide concert stages. They’ve been honored as ECHO Rising Stars by the European Concert Hall Organization, were among the BBC's New Generation Artists, and have won five awards at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich. Performances at major halls including London's Wigmore, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Philharmonie de Paris, as well as their numerous recordings, have earned widespread critical and audience acclaim.
For their Lane Series program, they will perform Haydn: String Quartet no. 4 in B Flat Major Op. 76 “Sunrise”; Shostakovich: String Quartet no. 8 in C minor Op. 110; and Beethoven: String Quartet no. 15 in A minor Op. 132.
