About this Event
Ari Hoenig is a NYC based jazz drummer, composer, and educator known for his unusual and intense approach to drumming emphasizing complex rhythyms in direct harmony with other group members. Ari is widely noted for his drumming not being relegated to just keeping tempo, or being a side issue to the musice he plays in, but rather for elevating drumming as an indespensible part of the performance.
Ari is coming back to Denton with his trio as a special guest of Drink and Think to help us experience and think through the question, "How should I approach jazz?"
