Arguverse 2026 is an intra-university business debate competition designed to challenge students to think critically, argue strategically, and communicate ideas with confidence. This event brings together the sharpest minds of the university to debate real-world business, economic, and policy-related issues in a competitive yet professional environment.
More than just a debate, Arguverse focuses on logic, structure, teamwork, and ethical reasoning — skills that matter in boardrooms, startups, and leadership roles.
Event Objectives
Encourage critical and analytical thinking

Promote teamwork, leadership, and professionalism
Eligibility
Open to all undergraduate students of University of Scholars
Teams must consist of 3 members
Cross-department teams are allowed
Competition Structure
🔹 Round 1: The Big Question
This round tests how clearly teams can think and explain big business ideas.
Teams will receive a motion (topic) and present their arguments step by step. Each team opens the debate, supports their position, and defends their stance through rebuttals. The round ends with an open discussion where both sides challenge each other’s logic.
Time Breakdown:
Opening Speech: 2 minutes (Team A)
Opening Speech: 2 minutes (Team B)
Supporting Speech: 2 minutes (Team A)
Supporting Speech: 2 minutes (Team B)
Rebuttal: 1 minute (Team A)
Rebuttal: 1 minute (Team B)
Open Discussion: 5 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
🔹 Round 2: Rapid Motion
This round tests speed, adaptability, and teamwork.
After receiving the motion, each team gets preparation time to quickly organize arguments. Teams then present their points and respond directly to the opposing side.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Time Breakdown:
Presentation: 4 minutes (Team A)
Presentation: 4 minutes (Team B)
Rebuttal: 2 minutes (Team A)
Rebuttal: 2 minutes (Team B)
Total Time: 25 minutes
🔹 Round 3: The Boardroom Showdown (Final)
The final round simulates a real business boardroom scenario.
Teams must present a smart, ethical, and practical solution to a high-stakes business problem. Judges will question the teams, and the team captain will deliver a final closing remark.
Time Breakdown:
Presentation: 6 minutes (All Members)
Judges’ Q&A: 4 minutes
Open Discussion: 5 minutes
Closing Remark: 1 minute
Total Time: 25 minutes
