About this Event
The tango class takes place each THURSDAY (MAY 18 - JUNE 15) from 6:30-8 PM, in a historic chapel. The session is geared towards advanced beginners and intermediate dancers but all couples and singles of different levels are welcome. This is how we share knowledge in this art form!
The course is taught by master teachers, Leonardo & Olga Suarez Paz, directors of PIAZZOLLA 100 and Suarez Paz Tango, Official Representatives of Academia Nacional Del Tango, one of 16 Government Academies in Argentina and the current Dean's Artists-In-Residence at NYU.
The 5-week course is designed to help the dancers feel comfortable on the dance floor and with each other in any social dance environment. In addition to practicing dance, you will learn about the music, etiquette, and history, the genre's connection to NYC, and make new friends along the way!
ABOUT THE TEACHERS:
Maestro Leonardo Suarez Paz is an award-winning, 4th generation Tango artist, who starred in all significant shows as prepare you a dancer and violin soloist, including The Mariano Mores Show, Tangox2, Perfumes de Tango, and soloist for Tango Argentino and Forever Tango on Broadway, among many others. Olga Suarez Paz directs Nuevo Tango Ballet and has been featured as a tango dancer and soloist in the world's top venues including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, and many others. Together they lead the award-winning, multidisciplinary organization Leonardo Suarez Paz's PIAZZOLLA 100.
CLASS INFO
You don't need dance shoes but please do wear comfortable, flexible shoes with a soft sole of suede, leather, or similar. You can register for the entire course or attend the classes separately. No partner is needed.

REFUND POLICY
Classes are fully refundable if any cancellation occurs on the part of the organizer, otherwise, classes are non-refundable once purchased. You may transfer class registration to another person or couple if unable to attend.
