Two brothers from a wealthy family in Upper Egypt were torn apart by greed over inheritance. The elder brother allied with the devil against his younger brother. Themes of greed, love, hatred, and hope affect Masoud and Wajida's destinies, who were victims of their uncle; El-Hareedy's plans.The play "Arees El Bahr" is based on the traditional ballad "Masoud and Wajida" by the folk legendary artist Mohamed Taha.
