Arctic Circle Rome Forum - Polar Dialogue

The Arctic Circle Rome Forum – Polar Dialogue: From Glaciers to Seas is organized in association with the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Forum will take place at the headquarters of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) in Rome on 3-4 March 2026.

Hosted in Italy, the Forum is an opportunity for the international community to engage in dialogue under the themes of Research - Science - Diplomacy - Security - Education. Italy has a longstanding Polar history through Arctic exploration and research for more than a century. The Forum will focus on scientific cooperation, the Arctic's strategic significance, and the importance of diplomacy in times of geopolitical uncertainty.

The Arctic Circle Polar Dialogue will continue at the Rome Forum. It will consist of a series of Sessions, consultative meetings, Roundtable discussions under the Chatham House Rule, and high-level Plenary Sessions.

Lunch and evening receptions on 3-4 March are included in the registration for the Rome Forum.

Online registration for the Arctic Circle Rome Forum closes at 23:59 CET on 24 February 2026. On-site registration will be possible at the registration desk at the Forum venue. The opening hours of the registration desk will be published closer to the date.

Cancellation of registration

A cancellation made more than 4 weeks prior to the start of the Forum will be charged 25% of the registration fee.

A cancellation made less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks prior to the start of the Forum will be charged 50% of the registration fee.

A cancellation made less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the Forum will not be refunded.
Please note that service and ticketing commission fees are non-refundable.
