With saxophone, piano, bass, and drums, their quartet creates music on the spot, weaving spontaneous ideas into an ever-changing soundscape. No script, no repetition; just the energy of risk, interaction, and discovery shared live with the audience.
The evening will feature two outstanding guest artists. Pete Carney, Director of Jazz at State College of Florida, is a saxophonist and arranger who has shared the stage with legends such as Aretha Franklin, Tito Puente, B.B. King, and Arturo Sandoval. Joining him is Mauricio J. Rodríguez, a Cuban-born bassist and composer whose career spans classical, jazz, and Latin traditions. Currently Composer in Residence with the Miami Symphony Orchestra, Rodríguez brings to the stage his rich background as one of Cuba’s leading bassists.
