About this Event
This November 15th, Toales will host a night of high-voltage, genre-bending rock as Arco Arena take the stage with support from Cornerman and Astraea. With tickets priced at just €8, this is one of the more accessible big nights of the autumn.
Hailing from Dundalk’s ever-evolving sonic landscape, Arco Arena have forged a sound entirely their own — a high-octane blend of heavy funk grooves, jagged time signatures, and hooks that demand movement. This four-piece post-funk/dance-rock powerhouse doesn’t just play gigs; they create controlled chaos whilst delivering electrifying live shows packed with razor-sharp riffs, rapid-fire vocal interplay, and unpredictable shifts that keep audiences on their toes. Every set feels like a shared moment between band and crowd — part precision, part madness, all energy.
Support on the night comes from Noqturn, a four-piece instrumental band from Westmeath and Dublin. Formed by drummer Jamie Kelly (Megacone, Fanacanta) and flautist/keyboardist Tara O’Brien (Clarion Winds, Fanacanta), the lineup was completed with guitarist Ross Kelly (Megacone) and bassist Ryan Muller (Skewered). Blending classical and metal influences, Noqturn create intricate, melody-driven compositions that shift from heavy riffs to cinematic flute passages. Their sound draws comparisons to Tigran Hamasyan, Opeth, GoGo Penguin, and The Aristocrats.
Opener Cornerman blends delicate, heartfelt lyrics with a driving alt rock sound—packed with dramatic soundscapes and ear-grabbing hooks.
Expect a night where groove, aggression, and melody collide — a big, bold package designed to showcase where Irish original music can push itself.
