All aboard for Central Illinois railroad history!This year's Archives Bazaar will be railroad-themed to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Illinois Central depot and the raising of the train tracks. Join local museums, archives, historical societies, and collectors to discover items from their collections related to the railroad. See all the diverse resources and history the county offers, and enter to win a raffle! The Illini Railroad Club will have a model train on display.
At 2:00 pm, historian, writer, and community organizer Mike Matejka will give a talk titled, "What's Coming Down the Line? The Railroad in the American Mind" in the MacFarlane Hood Reading Room.
