October is Archives Month! This is a time to celebrate and raise awareness of the work done by archives and archivists in preserving history.In our next Archives After Hours event, Archives Manager Lorna Loring will share some of her favorite items in our collections. From a letter written at the start of the French and Indian War to an account of a Wild West Show from a lady sharpshooter, these and other items reveal some of the wonderful stories we preserve in our archives.
Archives After Hours is designed to provide a close-up look at our collections and the work we do everyday in the Stewart Bell Jr. Archives. Following the presentation, attendees are welcome to participate in a short tour of the Archives.
