About this Event
Children ages 5-17 are invited to design and construct eco-friendly structures such as miniature houses, bridges, skyscrapers, rockets, etc. using recyclable materials like cardboard sheets, popsicle sticks, and paper tubes. Through this workshop, children will learn more about scientific problem solving through artistic creativity while cultivating sustainability for youth.
This workshop is led by Kathleen Bostick is a recent graduate from Spelman College currently serving the District of Columbia as the 2024 Miss Columbia Heights within the Miss America Organization. Her mission is to inspire children and women to seamlessly blend art and science, fostering a brighter future.
