A one-day architectural photo walk and tutorial with photographer Chris Boeke.Expand your knowledge of architecture through photography! This class includes a single 3-hour session with professional photographer Chris Boeke. Participants will begin with a tutorial at the Iowa Center for Architecture, and then embark on an architectural photo walk through Des Moines' East Village, including the State Capitol. The setting and morning light are sure to leave participants with their own stunning architectural photos of Iowa's capital city.
Digital camera (SLR) preferred; phone cameras also allowed. All experience levels welcome!
Session begins at the Iowa Center for Architecture, 400 Locust St., Suite 100 (Capital Square) in downtown Des Moines.
Instructor Chris Boeke, Des Moines native, architectural professional, and owner of Chris Boeke Studio, has been shooting photography for 16 years. During those years his work has gravitated toward architecture as a distinctive art form, and he is eager to share how architecture has inspired his style of photography.
