This winter The Friends of Wausau Historic Landmarks is diving deeper into the architects that built Wausau’s neighborhoods and created the familiar skyline we all know. Join us on Saturday, January 24 at 1:30 pm as we focus on architect Philip Dean.
Dean designed many well known buildings in the Wausau Area, including the Wausau Gas, Coke & Light (PAF Building at 401 4th Street), The Spencer Block (Back When Cafe at 604-606 North 3rd Street), and the The Pilot Building (Shepherd & Schaller at 325 Scott Street). His residential designs include the Classical Revival home of Margret Schofield on Steuben Street.
In addition to his work here in Wausau, Dean’s designs can be found around Wisconsin, including Madison and Appleton.
