Come join us at 2205 York Rd or Online on October 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM (Eastern Time) for a day filled with fun and exploration of different roles in play and therapy
Archetypes represent universal human roles that can support identity development and resilience in children. This training explores how play therapy can use archetypal figures (hero, healer, shadow, sage) to help children and adults process trauma, explore strengths, and find meaning. Participants will learn symbolic interventions, including role-play, sand tray enactments, and creative storytelling, to empower children through archetypal journeys.
Objectives:
- Identify archetypes in symbolic play.
- Facilitate play activities using archetypal themes.
- Support resilience through symbolic identity roles.
- Apply archetype work in trauma recovery.
- Recognize cultural meanings in archetypes.
- Use symbolic play for empowerment and healing.
