What is it?
A time for friends (new friends?) to come together to do a mini-competition and aim for a cash prize. This is barebow, and we use our recurve bows without sights. We teach all folks the basics of archery before doing the tournament.
Some more things:
- Solo archers? (Pick the solo option when registering; we will do the rest.)
- Target Face Size: 60 cm
- Archers will shoot a 150-round, which consists of 15 arrows at 15 feet with a barebow recurve.
- Arrows will be shot in 5 ends of 3 arrows at the designated distance. Each end will have a 3-minute time limit. There will be two ends of practice before official scoring begins. Double scoring will be utilized. Targets will be marked for each shot at the end of the scoring period.
- Dress code for shooting: Archers will be expected to wear clothing and footwear appropriate for an archery event. No open-toe shoes, or ripped clothing, shirts should be long enough to cover the midriff when the archer is at full draw.
