The annual Arcata Out of the Darkness Community Walk brings our community together for hope, healing, honoring and remembrance. Hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, this event elevates mental health and suicide prevention. We will have an opening and closing ceremony with speakers, and commence on a 2 mile walk throughout Arcata.Bring a photo or share a message for the honoring wall for those struggling or lost by suicide. We are joined onsite by community partners for participants to connect directly with local services and resources.
