Local treasure and frequent soundtracker across the global club circuit, Merve debuts her new event series on home soil in Naarm (Melbourne). Merve’s tasteful ear within contemporary sounds has cemented her as a trusted selector and curator amongst various dance communities.
With collaboration with Charades , arcane takes its first steps into the deep corners of Sub Club with CCL at the helm for an extended stretch. The Berlin-based Dj/ Producer has been widening their musical scope from an early age through formative years absorbing Bristol’s sound system culture and Seattle’s varied musical offerings. CCL elucidates a unique narrative with undulating twists and turns, seeped in bass and psychedelic sensibilities. Their ability to inject emotive textures through genres redefined as “wiggle-steppers, trip-no, dub-core, and cowgirl-breaks” (according to their Soundcloud and Bandcamp) is exactly why Merve is hosting CCL for an extended set to close out arcane at Subclub on March 15th .

Dilla) and post-shoegaze innovators Seefeel. “It was an experiment in the beginning,” they admit. “What if I could put these all together? Sometimes I laugh, ‘cause it sounds kinda funny, but I also like the darkness around it. Camp darkness. Glitter goth vibes.”
